Scott Hanson, president of the Maine Toy Train Museum, disassembles a temporary display from a Portland storefront. |
The Maine Toy Train Museum, whose collection of toy trains already consists of over 1000 items, including nearly every Lionel item produced from 1945 to 1966, wants to find a home in Portland.

Sections of the museum's O-gauge layout will depict local train landmarks like Union Station and the Maine Central Railroad's Crawford Notch Line. Plans to present the standard gauge layout in a realistic 1920 's room setting "will re-create the setting in which they were intended to be seen," says MTTM president Scott Hanson, of Portland. |
